Cleaning and disinfection procedures of our accommodations have been reviewed in order to protect the health of our cleaning crew and our guests.
Our cleaning crew:

￫ carefully washes all dishes and flatware, including the clean ones, with hot water.

￫ machine-washes all available linens at high temperature, including the clean ones.
￫ cleans the cleaning products (soap, dishwasher liquid, laundry detergent, etc.).
￫ sterilises the two set of keys and/or the smart lock and the keypad.

🏄♀️ Orientada hacia el noroeste, la playa agasaja a sus bañistas con las más bellas puestas de sol posibles. Tiene más de 3 km de largo. Mientras que una mitad de la playa es ideal para actividades como el SURF Y PADDLE SURF, la otra es perfecta para NADAR, BUCEAR Y STAND UP PADDLE, ya que está protegida por un emblemático arrecife volcánico (“La Barra”) a un cuarto de milla de la costa.
🐟 Es el emplazamiento perfecto para bucear, pues SU FONDO MARINO ES ESPACIO PROTEGIDO. Podrás disfrutar sumergiéndote en su delicado ecosistema. La temperatura del agua no baja de 19ºC en invierno.

🏖️ La PLAYA DE LAS CANTERAS is considered one of the best city beaches in the world.
🏄♀️ Oriented to the northwest, the beach entertains its bathers with the most beautiful sunsets ever. It is more than 3 km long. While one half of the beach is ideal for activities such as SURFING OR PADDLE SURF, the other half is perfect for SWIMMING, SNORKELLING OR STAND UP PADDLE as it is protected by an emblematic volcanic reef (“La Barra”) located a quarter of a mile from the coast.
🐟 It is the perfect location for snorkeling, as ITS SEABED IS A PROTECTED SPACE. You can enjoy immersing yourself in its delicate ecosystem. The water temperature does not drop below 19ºC in winter.
🤿 At LIVING LAS CANTERAS, we make available to our guests diving masks, umbrellas and beach chairs in all our apartments.

1) DISTANCIAS DESDE EL APARTAMENTO
El apartamento no puede estar mejor ubicado:
🏖️ PLAYA DE LAS CANTERAS: a sólo 10 segundos a pie de la puerta del edificio.
🏞️ PARQUE SANTA CATALINA: a sólo 10 minutos a pie. En este parque tienen lugar los principales eventos de la ciudad (Carnaval, festivales de música, etc.). De este parque parten continuamente los autobuses amarillos número 1 y 12 hacia el caso antiguo de la ciudad (Triana – Vegueta). Tardan menos de 15 minutos y cuestan 1,40€.
🚌 ESTACIÓN DE AUTOBUSES DE SANTA CATALINA: ubicado 18 minutos a pie, a continuación del Parque Santa Catalina. De aquí parten los autobuses en dirección al Aeropuerto, al sur de la isla y a la mayoría de localidades que merecen una visita.
🏪 MESA Y LOPEZ: es la principal avenida comercial de la ciudad. En ella está, entre tantos otros populares establecimientos El Corte Inglés. Ambos, a sólo 23 minutos a pie del apartamento.
🛍 CENTRO COMERCIAL LAS ARENAS: es el más importante y surtido de la isla. Se encuentra a sólo 37 minutos a pie.
🍴 RESTAURANTES, CAFES, FARMACIAS, SUPERMERCADOS, GIMNASIOS, PUBS, CINES, MUSEOS, ETC. a distancia a pie del apartamento.
2) CÓMO MOVERSE
⛪ El casco histórico (Triana – Vegueta) está a una hora a pie aproximadamente del apartamento. Le recomendamos hacer uso del autobús municipal 1 ó 12 (1,40€) o bien un taxi (6€) que puede parar en la calle mismamente o bien acudir a una parada.
⛰️ Si desea visitar otras localidades o puntos de interés en la isla (como por ejemplo Agaete, Maspalomas, Tejeda, etc.) le recomendamos alquilar un coche. El transporte público es adecuado pero sólo si desea visita un único lugar y regresar después a la capital.
🚗 Conseguir aparcamiento para el coche en las proximidades del apartamento es muy complicado. Cada vez hay menos opciones dado que están peatonizando muchas calles. Le recomendamos alquilar coche sólo los días que lo vaya a usar. Conocemos un lugar donde poder devolverlo cada día hasta las 22h. Otra opción es alquilarlo en el aeropuerto, en ese caso le recomendamos hacer uso de un parking privado. Le diremos cuáles son los más cercanos a su apartamento. Por lo general cuestan 15€/día o 50€/semana.

1) DISTANCES FROM THE APARTMENT
This apartment is superbly located:
🏖️ LAS CANTERAS BEACH: just a 10-second walk from the front door.
🏞️ SANTA CATALINA PARK: just a 10-minute walk from the apartment. City buses (the yellow ones) leave for the old city (Triana - Vegueta) from there. The most popular local events (Carnival, Music Festivals, etc.) also take place in this park. Yellow buses number 1 and 12 depart continuously from this park to the old town (Triana - Vegueta). They take less than 15 minutes and cost € 1.40.
🚌 SANTA CATALINA BUS STATION: it is located a 18-minute walk away, under the Santa Catalina Park. Intercity buses (the blue ones) leave from this station for the airport, the southern area and other popular locations that are worth a visit.
🏪 MESA Y LOPEZ, the main shopping street in this area of Las Palmas, and EL CORTE INGLÉS Department Store, both a 23-minute walk from the apartment.
🛍 LAS ARENAS SHOPPING MALL: it is a 37-minute walk away from the apartment. This is the largest and most popular shopping centre on the island.
🍴 PHARMACIES, SUPERMARKETS, RESTAURANTS, CAFES, GYMS, NIGHT CLUBS, PUBS, CINEMAS, MUSEUMS… located just within walking distance of the apartment.
2) HOW TO GET THERE
⛪ The old town (Vegueta and Triana) is an hour's walk from Playa de las Canteras. However, we recommend that you take a city bus (€ 1.40) or a taxi (€ 5).
⛰️ If you would like to visit other locations outside the city (such as Arucas, Agaete, Tejeda, Roque Nublo, Maspalomas or Mogan, etc.), we recommend that you rent a car, which will allow you to visit many locations in one single day. Buses are useful only if you plan to visit a single location.
🚗 Finding free parking in the neighbourhood is quite complicated, so we recommend that you rent a car only for those days when you are really going to use it. There are car rental offices where you can return the car every day until 10 p.m. If you decide to rent the car at the airport, we recommend using one of the private car parks near the apartment. On average, they charge € 15 / day or € 60 / week.
